In reference to this crossover, I can only sum up the Two and A Half Men episode as written by CSI scribes into one word: LAME. This is one of those things were the idea is sound, but the execution fails to deliver.
They did, however:
- managed to do a remix of the two show’s opening theme song, but it still sounded lame to me.
- parodied Marg Helgenberger’s character on CSI, down to her ample cleavage. Was not amused.
- did the effects CSI is famous for on Jake’s tummy as he was swallowing licorice or about to release gas. Pointless. And, yuck! — Gross!
- had George Eads do a cameo. He appeared early in the episode (three minute mark) as a wedding guest, had one or two lines and was on screen for like 10 seconds.

Yup, there was a murder, a suspect and a motive.
There was a crime. And its verdict? DO NOT EVER ATTEMPT TO DO THIS AGAIN, CSI Writers.
I wonder if the writers from Two and A Half Men can pull off a one-hour procedural crime drama. Because based on this? I’m not anticipating the one for CSI’s Thursday offering.
