Finale Fever: Make Way For Those Big Kisses

By the end of April and towards May, Grey’s Anatomy and Lost will air back to back episodes every Thursdays. They will also, apparently, share the same season finale highlight.

As it has been reported, fans of these series should expect big, spectacular kisses to end their seasons. Producers are not afraid to tell us the "what" but are keeping mum on the "who"… as in, "Who are gonna share those kisses?" (those in picture below are not the characters confirmed). 

I don’t want to speculate (although I am hoping for a Desmond-Penny smooch on Lost and anybody can kiss anybody on Grey’s Anatomy for all I care) but here’s that report I’m talking about:

Question: What’s this I’m hearing about a major kiss in Lost’s season finale?

Ausiello: More like a "spectacular kiss" — Damon Lindelof’s words, not mine. In the new issue of Lost magazine, DL teased, "Romance is always blooming on and off the island. And I hereby promise you one of the most spectacular kisses you’ve ever seen on the show in this year’s finale." Naturally, I pressed DL’s partner in crime, Carlton Cuse, for further details on the earth-shattering smooch, to which he replied, "I can disclose no more details other than to say it’s one of my favorite moments of the whole series so far. And contrary to some speculation, it is a male/female kiss." OK, so it’s not Mr. Friendly and his little Rent Boy. Who does that leave? Oh, right: Pretty much every other couple on the frakkin’ show! Damn you, Team Darlton! !

Question: Wanna tell us who is gonna be involved in the super-secret, special, surprising kiss in the Grey’s Anatomy season finale? Just a little hint?

Ausiello: First, let’s explain to the class what you’re referring to, Mandy. In the current issue of TV Guide (on sale tomorrow), guest spoiler columnist Shonda Rhimes offers a first-person preview of the show’s final five episodes — and she saves the best for the last paragraph. "A lot happens in these five episodes," the onetime Information Nazi writes. "And it all ends with a kiss. A good kiss. A great kiss. A kiss so good it makes you lean into your televisions. A kiss we never saw coming. Oh, it’s a major kiss." Unfortunately, I come bearing no clues since I honestly have no idea whose lips will be smacking. She kind of threw me for a loop with the whole "kiss we never saw coming" bit. Up till that point I just assumed it was reunion-bound Mer-Der.

FINALE SCHEDULE:

- Grey’s Anatomy Season 4 Finale will air on May 22. This will run for two hours. Those in the US can catch it at 9 PM/c.
- Lost Season 4 Finale will air it’s first part on May 15th for one hour (10 PM/c).  An encore will run on May 29th at 8 PM/c to be followed by the last two final hours of the season at 9-11PM/c.
