So local entertainment site, PEP (that’s Philippine Entertainment Portal), is running a story about Idol’s most recent cast-off, Ramiel Malubay. Allegedly, she has posted an expose’ about her Idol experience on her "MySpace" site. And contrary to how she has behaved with the American press after leaving Idol (where Ramiele so graciously admits her leaving was no one’s fault but hers), in the said blog entry, "Ramiele" is singing a different tune.
Would you wanna bother reading the message? I’ll post my thoughts about it after.
April 03, 2008 Thursday
I am so sad on what happened but not because of the people’s decision but what the staff told us.
Please do not send me mesages until i finish my statement.
I am still here in California, by the way please vote for David Cook to be the 7th American Idol, I know he will, let’s pray for him, inspirational songs for next week, and I chose heal our land but I can not sing that anymore.
There are news from people here in USA who were mad, cause they were dialling my number but instead of thank you for voting ramiele, it was thank you for voting other’s name.
Technical problem. This problem is the same as on the case of Chris Daughtry you know every week we have theme, and they told that few weeks before that week.
They gave us list of songs and we choose our song, but sometimes you can hear from some staffs, “Oh it’s not for you try to sing fast songs” and they called me lullaby instead of malubay.
The staff also arranged the songs and most of the times judges didn’t like it, and they told us about the blocking like when i performed “In My Life” simon didn’t like the stair drama.
In the case of Brooke, they told Brooke not to use guitar but she insisted it and she had a wonderful job.
Now they are making news about David Cook that he is bad boy cause he was mad to some people here in our appartment because of some noise, they do that because kuya David makes his own arrangement.
The pilot episode’s rating was lower than season 6, and they make some noise, and they won.
What noise? The stripper issue, the racy photos which are not, the my space video, the album of carly , etc…
Josiah Lemming was mad sa american idol cause we know he deserves to be on top 6, cause they pick those who would make noise,
David Archuleta won star search, Alexandrian and David made a nosie cause they were co semi finalist in that said show, Syesha was the one in the US version of star academy.
Few hours after the result’s night I made a blog that tells everything I know but it was being cancelled like what happened on my myspace where Mr. Damian grass of associated press used my blog for those racy photos.
If you can help me please put on your blog all the things that I said. Chris of American Idol 5 was disappointed cause of the technical problem, and look what happened to Taylor hicks and Chris. That’s why AI showed some clips about post idol life.
Good thing is there are offers, I’ll be there in Philippines for pinoy idol, and hopefully in ABS-CBN with a pinoy who won sa isang reality show sa Europe, I think he will be in “Altagracia” with KC (Concepcion) and John Lloyd.
Please tell me about your blog!
Salamat.
Alright…let’s break it down.
First, it doesn’t take a genius to say this letter is a fake; that it’s not written by Ramiele. There are 101 Million grammatical errors in it. Not that I’m aware of how fluent Rami is in English, but if you’ve been watching her on the show…the writer of this message and that tiny singer on TV, who occasionaly shows a bit of her personality, sound like two different people.
At one point, "Ramiele" even shifts to Tagalog, indicating that whoever wrote it forgot to get into character.
Josiah Lemming was mad sa american idol cause we know he deserves to be on top 6, cause they pick those who would make noise,
Secondly, the message was sent out April 3rd, the day after Rami left the show. And well, the schedule just doesn’t fit. In American Idol, it’s tradition to hold an after-party for the booted contestant the next night. If Ramiele was busy typing this one on the internet; then the after-party FOR HER must have been boring her to death. Bored enough to write this letter?
Third, I looked up Rami’s Myspace accounts, where the report says the message was from.
The said entry was written on Thursday, April 3, 2008—a day after Ramiel was eliminated on the American Idol—and was posted on her alleged MySpace blog. | PEP
And I found nothing. Maybe my researching skills aren’t sharp, so I missed it? But I did find two MySpace profiles for her; both without the blog entry and both with last login dates in March, which means she couldn’t have been sending messages on these sites. Myspace 1 | Myspace 2

So, where did this message really come from? Why print the story when it sounds totally unverified? And why the hell do I care enough to be crazy-obsessed by this?
In all of Ramiele’s post-interviews, she had nothing but good words about her experience and intimated that the process was fair. She has been a gracious loser, a fact the American Press has recognized. We should take pride in that as Filipinos (or human beings with compassion, for that matter). For someone to come out and pose as Ramiele and write this terribly-worded letter… it’s doing her more harm than good. Maybe whoever it was who wrote it isn’t a fan? Or just someone who enjoys doing it? I can’t say and I don’t wanna know.
But it’s crazy how others pick up on this and believe it right away…and then pass it on as the truth. That’s what’s troubling me.
For reference, here are Ramiele’s exit interviews:
hey,
this is pretty random stuff dude!! I mean, what freak would rpetend to be her, poor girl! i have been following all the lvie news on viewmy.tv and this is 100% untrue!
