Have you been wondering what your favorite Friends are up to these days?
I’ve been watching some episodes during the Holy Week break…despite my mom telling me and my 10 year old (who I’ve turned into a Friends junkie!) we shouldn’t be laughing so much. Can’t help it. I love these people. And I loved their show! And in the spirit of the season, I did mourn when I read David Schwimmer’s recent interview. He said that the last time he saw all six of them together was in 2004, when their series ended.
Aww.
But going back to the question…are you wondering where they are now? Read along and let’s catch up on the Friends…
Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe) was recently in the movie, "PS I Love You" with Hillary Swank (haven’t seen it, was it good?). She will be seen next in "Powder Blue", which stars Patrick Swayze and Forest Whitaker. After that, she will filming "Will" with Vanessa Hudgens (yes, from HSM) and "Hotel for Dogs", both due in 2009.
Matt LeBlanc (Joey) failed to keep his TV series, Joey, on air…and from there things fell rock bottom, I guess. He doesn’t have any projects in line and he divorced his wife of two years, when ironically, they’ve been dating far longer. It is alleged that he had an affair. His wife and him have a baby daughter during the marriage, who sadly has a rare brain disorder.
Courtney Cox (Monica) has her own cableTV series, Dirt, running on second season. She plays a bitchy and dirty tabloid editor. She’s also going to be seen in the Adam Sandler movie, "Bedtime Stories" next. The movie also stars Keri Russell (Felicity).
David Schwimmer (Ross) did a play in London after Friends and lived there for a while. He guest starred in 30 Rock and also voiced for "Madagascar 2". He is now directing a British film called "Run, Fat Boy, Run". His movie with Kate Beckinsale, "Nothing But The Truth" (copyright, Inday Badiday!) is due in late 2008.
Jennifer Aniston (Rachel) is doing the movie adaptation of the book "He’s Just Not That Into You" as well as a few other flicks like "Marly and Me" with Owen Wilson and "Traveling" with Aaron Eckhart. On TV, she will be seen on Oprah’s Big Give.
Matthew Perry (Chandler) did a Sundance film after his drama series "Studio 60" (I love this one!) failed to win the ratings. The movie is called "Birds of America" with Lauren Graham. Matthew is also doing a film with Zac Efron called "Seventeen", a rehash of films we’ve seen in the 80’s where one old guy wakes up to find himself 16 years old again.
How badly have you been missing these six?
